Many countries around the world are landlocked and share boundaries with one or more neighbours. These longest borders in the world pass through a variety of landscapes. These borders are guarded by security forces that protect these borders. Some of these countries are building walls, fences and other barriers along land borders to cease the enormous waves of migrants and refugees arriving from Syria, Iraq and other countries. The USA and Canada share the longest international border in the world. Russia and Kazakhstan share a single segment border that makes it the longest in the world.

10. Mexico–United States border :-




Mexico–United States border is an international border that separates Mexico and the United States.
The border expands from the Pacific Ocean in the west to the Gulf of Mexico in the east. The border passes through a variety of landscapes, varying from urban areas to deserts. It is the tenth-longest border between two countries in the world, with length of 3,145 km.

With approximately 350 million listed crossings yearly, the Mexico–United States border is the most frequently crossed border in the world.
From the Gulf of Mexico, it proceeds the course of the Rio Grande to the border crossing at Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and El Paso, Texas. Westward from El Paso–Juárez, it passes over vast areas of the Chihuahuan and Sonoran deserts to the Colorado River Delta and San Diego–Tijuana, before touching the Pacific Ocean.

The Bolivia–Brazil border is the international border between the territories of Bolivia and Brazil. The border expands from Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul, to Assis Brasil, in Acre.
It is the eighth-largest border between two countries in the world, with length of 3,423 km.

The boundary line runs through a variety of landscapes, ranging from large urban areas to inhospitable deserts and forests. The border starts in the Pantanal and ceases in the Amazon rainforest.

The Mongolia–Russia border is an international border that divides Mongolia and the Russian Federation. It runs from west to east between the two tripoints with China for 3,452 km. The boundary is the third-longest border between Russia and another country, behind the Kazakhstan-Russia border and the China-Russia border. It is the seventh-largest border between two countries in the world, with length of 3,452 km.

The border begins in the west at the western tripoint with China, located just 100 km east of the China-Kazakhstan-Russia tripoint. The border then proceeds in a north-east direction through the Altai Mountains, up to Mongolia's Uvs Lake. The border then swivels north across the Ulaan Taiga mountains. The border proceeds overland eastwards, arching largely north and then south in two long arcs, before turning north-east and then east, skirting south of Russia's Lake Barun-Torey, to cease at the eastern Chinese tripoint.

The Chinese–Russian border or the Sino-Russian border is an international border that separates China and the Asian portion of Russia. After the final demarcation attained in the early 2000s. It is the sixth-largest border between two countries in the world, with length of 4,209 km.

The China–Russian border comprises two non-contiguous sections separated: the long eastern section between Mongolia and North Korea and the much shorter western section between Kazakhstan and Mongolia.

The Bangladesh–India border is an international border that separates Bangladesh and India that demarcates the eight districts of Bangladesh and the Indian states. It is the fifth-largest border between two countries in the world, with length of 4,156 km.

The border includes 262 km in Assam, 856 km in Tripura, 318 km in Mizoram, 443 km in Meghalaya, and 2,217 km in West Bengal. The Bangladeshi districts of Mymensingh, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Sylhet, and Chittagong are set along the border. Small demarcated portions of the border are fenced on both sides.

The China–Mongolia border is the international border that separates China and Mongolia. It extends from west to east between the two tripoints with Russia. Most of the boundary passes through the Gobi Desert. It is the forth-largest border between two countries in the world, with length of 4,630 km.

The border begins in the west at the western tripoint with Russia in the Altai Mountains, set just 100 km east of the China-Kazakhstan-Russia tripoint. The border proceeds in the south-eastwards direction, with straight-line sections predominant in the Gobi Desert section, beneath to the southernmost point of Mongolia. Then it goes in north-eastwards direction, over to the Greater Khingan mountains near Mongolia's easternmost point. From there the border runs through Buir Lake and then swivelling sharply to the northeast up to the eastern Russian tripoint.

The Argentina–Chile border is the longest international border of South America that separates Argentina from Chile along the Andes and on the islands of Tierra del Fuego. It is the third longest in the world after the Canada–United States border and the Kazakhstan–Russia border. It is the third-largest border between two countries in the world, with length of 5,308 km.

The northern stop of the border is a tripoint it shapes with those at the Argentina–Bolivia border and the Bolivia-Chile border in the Atacama desert. It spans south to the Strait of Magellan and stops on Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego. It divides the island into two to its coast a few kilometres southwest of Ushuaia.

It is the longest continuous international border in the world and the second-longest by total length, after the Canada–United States border. It is in a similar location as the preceding administrative-territorial border between the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic and the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. It is the second-largest border between two countries in the world, with length of 7,644 km.

The border begins in the west at the Caspian Sea and proceeds in the west-east direction to the tripoint with China. The border comprises nearly fully of a series of overland lines crossing the Eurasian Steppe, though in sections rivers are utilised, such as the Maly Uzen, Ural and Uy. In the far eastern section, the border runs through the Altai Mountains.

Canada and USA. It is the longest international border in the world between two countries. It is the largest border between two countries in the world, with a length of 8,891 km. The boundary comprising bodies of water in the Great Lakes, Atlantic and Pacific coasts and between Alaska and Canada that stretches 2,475 km and Canada's border with the U.S. to its south.

Eight out of thirteen provinces and settlements of Canada and thirteen out of fifty U.S. states are found along this international boundary. The bi-national International Boundary Commission deals with issues relating to marking and conserving the boundary, and the International Joint Commission deals with problems relating to boundary waters. The agencies nowadays responsible for enabling legal passage through the international boundary are the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The International Boundary is normally cited as the world's "longest undefended border", though this is true only in the military sense, as civilian law enforcement is existing.
