The bridge was completed in 2008 and opened on February 6, 2010. It had employed 10,000 workers, and 2,300,000 cubic meters of concrete and 45,000 tons of steel used in construction.

The construction of the Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge was completed in 2010 and opened in 2011. It took 4 years to construct Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge. It had employed 10,000 people and cost about $8.5 billion.
